Studying Microbes in China

UNLV professor Brian Hedlund and his team received a huge grant to study microbial ecology in China. A professor known for trudging through hot springs in a T-shirt and backwards baseball cap, Brian Hedlund explains his research in Nevada, and how he's drawing students into the microbe world with field trips. He and his student, Jeremy Dodsworth, also explain why China has so much potential.
