Beavers Bright Sky

Mozart Exsultate Jubilate (Maria Valdes, soprano)

Mahler Symphony No. 4 (Maria Valdes, soprano)

The Las Vegas Philharmonic launched its 2016-17 concert season with the West Coast professional premiere of Kevin Beavers’ Bright Sky, based on Diane Gregory’s poem, “The Sky in Connemara,” followed by Mozart’s exquisitely crafted concerto, Exsultate, Jubilate, featuring soprano Maria Valdes (pictured right), and concluding with Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, a joyful and exultant work that captures this towering composer at his most tender and playful.
