From the Top is America’s largest national platform dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. Through live events, their weekly NPR program and YouTube content, scholarships, and leadership programs, they work to empower extraordinary young people to engage and inspire music lovers of all ages.
Listen to the broadcast and the musicians, ages 8–18, will astonish you with their talent. Their hard work, dedication, and passion make them role models for their peers (and adults, too!). Yet, when they talk about their lives outside of music, you'll find that in many ways they are typical kids and teenagers, with normal worries and big dreams.
From the Top came to Las Vegas in 2018 to record a show at the Smith Center featuring performers from our area and from across the country. Nevada Public Radio hosted some of the auditions.
