Carl Bernstein, Kiley Reid and Elin Hilderbrand are set to headline the Las Vegas Book Festival, returning to downtown’s Historic Fifth Street School later this month.
The free event, now in its 21st year, will be held Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This year’s headliners were chosen among three categories: politics, book club favorites and diversity.
Bernstein, journalist and author, most recently “Chasing History: A Kid in the Newsroom,” will appear at the Las Vegas Book Festival at 5 p.m. for a discussion moderated by Las Vegas Review-Journal political reporter Steve Sebelius.
Hilderbrand, called the “queen of beach reads,” released “The Beach Club” in 2000 and “Summer of ‘69” in 2019. She will appear at the festival at 3:15 p.m. for a discussion moderated by Steph from Mercedes in the Morning (MIX 94.1) and Kayla from The Chet Buchanan Show (KLUC 98.5).
And Reid, author of “Such a Fun Age,” published in 2019, will appear at 1:30 p.m. for a discussion moderated by Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Executive Director Kelvin Watson.
