Great news for lovers of the outdoors: All Nevada state parks will be free to residents and visitors on Saturday, June 11.

Anyone who visits the parks on "Discover Nevada State Parks" Day will get free admission and free fishing (no license required.)

“Nevada’s state parks offer a great diversity of outdoor recreation opportunities,” said State Parks Administrator Bob Mergell in a media release.

“For example, visitors can view a 225 million old Ichthyosaur fossil at Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park, take in the starry night skies at Ward Charcoal Ovens, or spend a relaxing afternoon fishing at the Walker River State Recreation Area.”

You can also take the day as an opportunity to gather a few passport stamps
