Reno Police Say Double Killing Appeared To Be Self-Defense

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police say a man who fatally shot two men in a parking lot outside a northeast Reno bar last month appears to have been acting in self-defense.

The shooter, who has not been identified, was at the scene when police arrived at Mixers Bar at about 11:30 p.m. on April 28.

Reno police said Tuesday that detectives investigating the killings have been conducting interviews and watching surveillance video of the surrounding area.

They no arrests will be made at this time "as it is believed he acted in self-defense." The bar owner said officers told him a fight started after a "fender bender" and then escalated.
