Boy Dead, Girl Injured After North Las Vegas House Fire

NORTH LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old boy removed from a burning North Las Vegas home was pronounced dead at a hospital.

According to the city Fire Department, crews heading to the home Tuesday night were told a young child was still inside.

The department said firefighters searched the home and found the boy who was immediately taken to a hospital.

A young girl who didn't need to be rescued from the home was in stable condition with unspecified injuries.

The girl's age wasn't available and no identities were released. Fire officials and police detectives were investigating the cause of the fire, the department said.
