State Restores Funding For UNLV School Of Medicine Building

Funds for the UNLV School of Medicine’s new medical education building are back in the state budget.

Governor Steve Sisolak announced during his State of the State address Tuesday that the $25 million cut during COVID-19-related budget readjustments will now be available.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the 135,000-square-foot building on Shadow Lane in central Las Vegas, which will be the school’s first permanent facility, is slated for completion in summer 2022.
