Nevada Coalition Says All Distance-Learning Students Can Access Internet

The Connecting Kids Coalition says all Nevada students using distance learning full or part-time now have access to the internet and something that allows them to use it.

In a press release Tuesday, the group said K-through-12 students in all 17 of the state's school districts are connected.

The Nevada COVID-19 Task Force formed Connecting Kids in August as a public-private coalition because too many students had to depend on restaurants, libraries or WiFi-equipped school buses to take part in online education.

The coalition of business and community leaders was formed with the goal of ensuring that every student had access to high-speed internet and a learning-ready device.
