RTC Launches Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign

With January being National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada has launched an awareness campaign that intends to highlight what people can do if they believe someone is being trafficked while using public transportation.

The RTC is using a $160,000 federal grant to raise awareness of human trafficking for sex or labor.

Their campaign includes posting signs at transit stops along with posters, both inside RTC facilities and on the inside and outside of buses. The National Human Trafficking Hotline has ranked Nevada 13th in the number of trafficking cases reported.

How is Las Vegas' healthcare system really doing, and what does it mean for you and your family? Desert Companion's Health Issue takes a deep dive into these questions and explores how heart-centered business leaders prove that doing good benefits the bottom line.
