Wynn Las Vegas Announces New Security Measures After Recent Violence

Recent violence at Las Vegas Strip resorts has led Wynn Las Vegas to implement new security measures.

The resort said in a statement that people entering Wynn and Encore will be scanned for metal and their hand-carried bags will be screened.

This complements existing security measures, including scanning hotel room keys at elevator entrances to ensure only registered guests are admitted to the hotel towers.

The updated security protocol includes crisis and tactical response, a K-9 team, mobile and stationary officers and surveillance.

The resort has also increased the number of Metro Police Officers and Wynn Security Officers on duty.
