Las Vegas Fire Agrees On $280K Settlement In Sex Video Case

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas Fire Department has reached a $280,000 settlement with a firefighter after a sexually explicit video of her circulated within the department in June 2018.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the now-former firefighter sued the city of Las Vegas, claiming the department allowed the video to circulate by refusing to properly investigate her complaints and "lightly" disciplining those who admitted complicity.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in March 2019 claims the video was circulated during work hours on department properties.

The Las Vegas City Council is expected to consider approving the settlement agreement on Wednesday. The city of Las Vegas declined to comment.
