Henderson Offers Grants For Child Care, Utilities, Internet Service

A new grant program from the city of Henderson will help families impacted by the pandemic pay for child care, utilities, and internet service needed for school.

The city is offering up to $1,000 per household to help pay utility bills if families are in danger of losing service.

Families that qualify can get $2,700 to pay for child care expenses or they can get up to $360 for internet service. The city is only allowing one application for the three categories.

Applications can be submitted until Nov. 30 or until the program’s $4.7 million funding has been distributed.

The money comes through the federal CARES Act.
