LAS VEGAS (AP) — One Las Vegas Strip casino owner says it tallied 548 positive tests for COVID-19 among its 12,000 employees since May.
Wynn Resorts reported Thursday that it had 497 positive tests for the new coronavirus since reopening June 4, after identifying 51 in initial screenings. Company CEO Matt Maddox says contact tracing found 98% of the positive tests were from exposure outside of work.
The company says it has hosted more than 500,000 guests at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore since reopening, and six have tested positive. Wynn Resorts is one of few Las Vegas companies that make COVID-19 test results public.
