Nevada's program to help businesses affected by the pandemic with their rent is extending the deadline to apply while making more businesses eligible.
A spokesman for the State Treasurer's office says businesses have an extra week to apply for help from the Commercial Rental Assistance Grant Program.
The final day will now be Tuesday, September 8.
A requirement that applicants must not have received other COVID-19 assistance that could be used for rent has been removed.
Program staff will be reviewing all denied applications to determine if they could now be approved. Anyone who can verify a loss of at least 30 percent revenue since last year is eligible for up to $10,000.
