LAS VEGAS (AP) — A coalition of police unions endorsed Republican candidate Dan Rodimer in Nevada's 3rd congressional district on Tuesday.
Rodimer, a former professional wrestler, is challenging first-term Democrat Rep. Susie Lee.
The coalition includes the Las Vegas Police Protective Association, which endorsed first-term Democrat Susie Lee when she ran for the seat in 2018.
The endorsement follows weeks of protests and counter-protests over the role of law enforcement in Nevada communities and reflects GOP efforts to frame policing as a wedge issue ahead of the November elections.
