Nevada Reports 821 Additional COVID-19 Cases; No New Deaths

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Health officials in Nevada reported 821 additional positive cases of the coronavirus around the state Sunday, but no new deaths.

The state Department of Health and Human Services says 736 of the additional cases were from Clark County, the state's most populous which includes the Las Vegas metro area.

Nevada's has 17,160 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 500 known death as of Sunday.

Statistics show nearly 14,000 of the total coronavirus cases have come out of Clark County.

However, the number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people haven't been tested and studies suggest people can be infected with the virus without feeling sick.
