Yosemite Won't Reopen Some Campgrounds Amid Virus Concerns

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) — California's Yosemite National Park says it will hold off on reopening some closed campgrounds through the month of July because of social distancing concerns in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.

Yosemite park officials began reopening some campgrounds earlier this month after being closed for more than 2 1/2 months.

But Park Ranger Jamie Richards says those have more social distancing room between campsites. There haven't been any confirmed COVID-19 cases in the park but July reservations for the closed campgrounds are canceled.
