Man Follows Half-Brother In Guilty Plea In Killing Of Mother

LAS VEGAS  — A Nevada man has pleaded guilty to murder in the death of his 46-year-old mother in 2018.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Wednesday that Dakota Saldivar and his half brother Michael Wilson were 17 when they stabbed and beat their mother Dawn Liebig to death before burying her in the desert.

The Nye County district attorney's office says Saldivar entered his guilty plea May 12 to murder with the use of a deadly weapon. Wilson has pleaded guilty to the same charge.

Authorities say the teens did not like her parenting style.

Both were charged as adults and could face life in prison with the possibility of parole when sentenced.
