The Culinary Union is asking Nevada landlords to freeze rents during the COVID-19 emergency.
The union asked that landlords freeze rents at their current rate for one calendar year and also consult with tenants about post-emergency grace periods and fair payment plans.
It said that landlords who threatened tenants or implemented unfair or predatory payment plans would be highlighted in a Housing Guide for Renters that would be published later this year.
