CCSD Joins Effort To Get More Federal Funds For Schools

The Clark County School District has joined the Council of the Great City Schools in asking Congress to include $175 billion in funding for local school systems in the next coronavirus supplemental appropriations bill.

The group is arguing that the aid is needed to help offset the costs to districts of providing meals for students and distance learning.

The group notes that many districts do not have sufficient resources to provide electronic learning devices and internet connections to students.
