City Of Las Vegas To Begin Multi-Million Dollar Roadway Project

The city of Las Vegas will begin a three-year-long, multi-million-dollar roadway project next Monday aimed at rejuvenating a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard running from Sahara to Stewart avenues.

The city says it will involve replacing underground utilities, traffic signals, medians, curbs, gutters, sidewalks.

About 200 trees will be planted in the medians, according to the city, and there will be more neon signs.

Crews will also do some work on Bridger Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to 13th Street and Third Street from Utah to Colorado avenues. 

The city says it will cost about $125 million and is the largest roadway project in the history of the city.
