Gas Prices Drop, Nevada's Remain Higher Than Average

The price of gasoline has been steadily dropping over the past few weeks across the country, but Nevada remains among the states with the highest prices.

The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States was $1.88 on April 10, compared with $2.76 a year earlier, according to AAA.

In Nevada, the average is $2.50, which is down from $3.13 a year earlier.

Low crude oil prices due to COVID-19 and the lower demand for gas as Americans stay home have helped push prices lower, AAA said.

The Las Vegas Valley and Nevada, in general, have among the highest prices of gasoline due to their dependency on California for fuel.
