American Gaming Association Says Casino Closures Put 200,000 People Out Of Work

The American Gaming Association says Governor Steve Sisolak’s Tuesday directive closing non-essential businesses in Nevada has left more than 200,000 casino employees without work.

Sisolak’s mandate closed all 219 commercial casinos in the state for at least 30 days to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The AGA says Nevada will suffer $4.7 billion dollars in lost economic activity for each month the Nevada gaming industry is shut down.
