Nevada Cancels K-12 Schools Through April 6

The state of Nevada has canceled Kindergarten through 12th grade for all public, private and charter schools through April 6 because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Governor Steve Sisolak made the announcement, with Clark County Superintendent Jesus Jara beside him, Sunday afternoon.

Several groups, including the teachers' union, had called for the closure in light of the spread of the virus.
