Federal Courthouse In Las Vegas Remains Closed By Power Outage

Officials say a closure of the U.S. District Court building in Las Vegas will continue for a second day following a power outage.

 

A court official said workers were near-certain the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse would reopen Thursday.

The building was closed Tuesday, although an emailed statement said "essential hearings and functions" would be performed and document filings would be accepted at the Foley Federal Building across Las Vegas Boulevard.

 

The statement said affected parties would be notified about the status of hearings.
