Gov. Sisolak Encourages Tech Firms To Consider Nevada For Investment, Expansion

Gov. Steve Sisolak urged technology leaders to consider Nevada as a place for investment and expansion.

The governor made the comments at the Consumer Electronics Show’s Leaders in Technology Dinner Thursday night, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Sisolak said technology could help diversify the state's economy, which would cushion it for future economic downturns — as well as advance industries that are already well established.

Nevada’s economy has struggled to diversify and is still best known for two industries: mining and tourism.
