Authorities have identified three people killed in a fiery small plane crash in a remote area near Las Vegas six weeks ago as a retired air traffic controller, his wife and mother-in-law.
The Clark County coroner said Wednesday that Gregory Steven Akers, his wife Valeriya Slyzko, and her mother, Nina Morozova, died in the Nov. 26 crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine aircraft was registered to Akers' company and was headed to North Las Vegas Airport when it crashed near the rugged summit of near Gass Peak.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
