LVCVA Approves Funding For Second Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

A new Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon is coming to Las Vegas starting in 2021.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board of directors unanimously approved funding a second race in a vote Tuesday.

The race is scheduled at the moment for April 3, 2021, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

They also approved spending of $150,000 for the fall 2020 race.

The April run will be on a Saturday.

This year’s marathon will hit the Strip Sunday night, with half-marathon, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races also scheduled on the weekend.

The Las Vegas Rock ‘n Roll Marathon is one of about two dozen races in a series run worldwide.

It is one of the most popular because the course includes the Las Vegas Strip. Organizers said last year that more than 40,000 people from 50 states and 86 countries were registered.
