Gaming Control Board Proposes Regulations On Harassment, Discrimination In Casinos

The three-member Nevada Gaming Control Board voted unanimously to recommend a sweeping regulation amendment that makes workplace discrimination and harassment grounds for disciplinary action.

The Nevada Independent reports if it’s approved by the Gaming Commission, the amendment would require licensed gaming establishments and other gaming-related businesses with 15 or more employees to adopt and implement written anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies and procedures.

The new policy recommendation comes more than a year after accusations of sexual harassment and assault led to the resignation of former Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn.
