Authorities: Reno Pedestrian Killed In Fire Truck Accident

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a woman has been hit and killed by a Reno Fire Department truck.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says that it is investigating the accident that happened Saturday morning at a Reno intersection.

 

Authorities say they have not identified the woman who was hit while on foot.

 

City officials tweeted that they are devastated by the tragedy.

They say they are cooperating with the sheriff's investigation.

 

Authorities did not say whether the ladder truck was responding to a fire or emergency call when the woman was hit.
