Las Vegas Man Arrested In Venetian Hotel Room Theft

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas man banned from several area hotels for trying to enter guests' rooms has been arrested.

KTNV-TV reported Monday that 30-year-old Clifton Robbins is suspected in the April theft of $4,000 worth of valuables from a room at the Venetian hotel-casino.

Police say Robbins, who was previously banned from the Venetian, used the fact that he had the same first name as the registered guest to obtain a key card.

According to investigators, he took an Apple tablet and laptop, a suitcase of clothes, wallet and other items.

He faces charges of grand larceny and burglary.

He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15. It was not immediately known Tuesday if Robbins had an attorney.
