The National Weather Service has issued red flag warnings across the state because of gusty winds and low humidity expected Monday throughout Nevada.
Most of the warnings run through about 9 p.m., while the warning for Reno expires at 2 p.m. due to a forecast of rain later today.
The weather service advises people not to engage in activities that might cause a spark like yard work or target practice.
