A red flag warning has been issued Wednesday for much of Western Nevada, including Reno, Gerlach and the site of Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert.
The advisory pertains to the possibility of strong winds and low humidity, combining to make conditions right for erratic wildfires.
Forecasters are also concerned about possible dry thunderstorms with lightning and the potential for winds up to 50 mph. The red flag warning goes into effect at 11 a.m. and lasts until 8 p.m.
