Las Vegas City Council Votes To Pay For More Housing For The Homeless

The Las Vegas City Council voted this week to lease 25 rental units to serve as transitional housing for the city’s homeless.

The council approved spending $226,000 from the city’s general and redevelopment funds on units such as converted motel rooms and apartments.

Veterans Village and the Women’s Development Center will fill the units on a case by case basis for up to a year for qualified clients.
