City Of Las Vegas Wants State To Change HOV Lane Rules

The Las Vegas City Council is trying to get the state to change the enforcement laws on the HOV lanes on I-15 and Highway 95.

The council passed a resolution this week to return the current 24-hour HOV enforcement from 6 a.m.-10 a.m. and 2 p.m. through 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Only the Nevada Department of Transportation board, chaired by Gov. Steve Sisolak, can change the regulations. City officials were previously told NDOT wants at least three years to evaluate the lanes’ effectiveness.
