A red flag warning remains in effect in Clark County, eastern Lincoln County and Mohave County, according to the National Weather Service.
Hot, dry and windy conditions have put the areas in danger of rapid fire growth, the service said.
The warning will remain in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
The weather service says the winds will gust between 30 and 40 mph and the humidity is below 10 percent.
Highs are expected to reach 108 in some places of Southern Nevada.
