Fire Nearly Destroys Office Building East Of Las Vegas Blvd.

A major structure fire collapsed the roof of an office building east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Clark County and Las Vegas firefighters were dispatched to the building on Paradise Road around 3 a.m. Monday.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the fire department never received an alert from a fire alarm company. Instead, they received word that the building was on fire from someone staying in a nearby hotel.

The building housed several business and organization offices, including RCG Economics.

In a press release, RCG said it “prepared for such a situation so there will be little or no client service interruptions.”

The building was also home to the offices of the Nevada Broadcasters Association.

There is no word on the cause of the fire but the Review-Journal is also reporting that the 84,000 square-foot building had no sprinkler system.
