Median Sales Price For Homes In Las Vegas Remain Flat

The median sales price of a home in the Las Vegas Valley remained flat again for the third month in a row.

According to the latest report from the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, the median price of a home was $300,000 in May, unchanged from April and March.

That price has only gone up 1.7 percent since last year. By comparison, house prices in May of 2018 were up 18 percent from a year earlier and Las Vegas was listed as the fastest growing housing market in the nation by several metrics.

GLVAR president Janet Carpenter said Las Vegas’ housing market has seen signs of a cool down lately.

Sales totals have tumbled from a year ago, and the once-depleted tally of available listings has also shot back up.

Median home prices in Las Vegas topped out at $315,000 in June 2006 just before the Great Recession.
