Gov. Sisolak Signs 78 Bills As Legislative Session Winds Down

Governor Steve Sisolak signed a total of 78 bills into law Thursday as the 2019 legislative session heads toward a conclusion.

The bills include the restoration of voting rights to felons upon release from prison or the end of probation; the Nevada Second Chance Act, which allowing individuals to have criminal records sealed if their offense is no longer illegal under state law; a law enhancing penalties for violence against first responders; and a bill requiring all schools to provide blueprints to first responders and law enforcement to facilitate emergency response plans.
