Nevada legislators approved a bill to help public schools in the state purchase electric school buses.
Senate Bill 299 will create a pilot program to allow Nevada utilities to pay for up to 75 percent of the cost to purchase the buses and supporting infrastructure.
The bill now heads to Governor Steve Sisolak.
