New Hotel Approved For Convention Center Drive

Clark County Commissioners have approved a new development near the north end of the Las Vegas Strip.

Commissioners voted unanimously to approve developer Lorenzo Doumani’s plans for a 45-story, 720-room nongaming hotel on Convention Center Drive.

Doumani imploded the Clarion property in its place about four years ago.

He says this new development, called Majestic Las Vegas, will feature restaurants, 10 floors of convention and meeting space and a wellness spa.

The project is slated to cost $850 million and could break ground in April or May of 2020.
