A bill is scheduled for consideration in the Nevada Assembly Tuesday that would provide funding for electric school buses.
The Committee on Growth and Infrastructure will look at Senate Bill 299, which makes the case for allowing up to $15 million from the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Demonstration program to help cover an investment in electric school buses.
Clean air advocates have joined bill sponsor State Senator Chris Brooks in efforts to transition the buses from diesel to electric.
