Municipal Primary Elections Set Up Races For General Elections In June

Boulder City Mayor Rod Woodbury will face Councilman Kiernan McManus in a June runoff election.

Woodbury took nearly 42 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s municipal primary, while McManus ran a close second with 40 percent.

In the Las Vegas Ward 3 race, Melissa Clary moved from 3rd place to 2nd place, passing former Congressman Ruben Kihuen by five votes.

Clary and Former Assemblywoman Olivia Diaz will move on to the General Election in June. 

In Las Vegas Ward 1, Brian Knudsen with 26.99 percent and Robin Munier with 20.03 percent will face on in the General Election. Total voter turnout in the Municipal Primary was 8.8 percent. That is the 2nd lowest total in the last 20 years.
