Washoe County School Board Approves $1.6M For Online Courses

The Washoe County School Board approved spending $1.6 million for online courses for high school and middle school students to make up missed or failed credits.

A new vendor was hired based out of Scottsdale Arizona to run the credit recovery system for students who otherwise might not graduate.

The district said more than 9,000 students grades 9-12 took at least one online course during the 2017-18 school year.
