After receiving approval for the second time, recreational marijuana will be allowed in West Wendover.
The West Wendover City Council adopted an ordinance this week for its second reading to allow recreational marijuana sales in the city.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports the conditional use permit was awarded to Deep Roots Harvest dispensary for both medical and recreational marijuana.
West Wendover is located right on the Nevada/Utah state line and is about two hours west of Salt Lake City.
The dispensary hasn’t been built yet but the floor plans have been accepted. The ordinance will take effect January 7.
