Report: Las Vegas Metro Police Officers Shared Photo Of Route 91 Festival Shooter's Body

Las Vegas police officers were sharing photos of the dead Route 91 Harvest Festival shooter within an hour of the first strike team’s arrival in the man’s Mandalay Bay suite the night of October 1, 2017.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports recently-released police body camera video captured early the morning of October 2 shows officers posted on a pedestrian bridge near the Strip looking at a “graphic image” of Stephen Paddock’s corpse on their cell phones.

Former Assistant Sheriff Tom Roberts says it’s against Metro Police policy to distribute photos from crime scenes “for personal reasons.”

Officials wouldn’t answer questions about the picture or say if anyone faced consequences for sharing it.
