UNLV Offers Cannabis Class To Certify Budtenders

As Nevada's recreational and medical marijuana industries grow, so too does the need for a qualified workforce.

There's now a college course for that.

In its continuing education course offerings this year, one could find The Academy of Cannabis Science. It's certified training for the retail marijuana industry.

Put more simply, take the course and you could become a certified budtender.

Trey Reckling is the course instructor, and joins KNPR to talk a bit about why there was a need for the class, and what you can learn when taking it.
