Utah Authorities Identify Naked Intruder Shot By A Homeowner

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Authorities in Utah have identified a naked man who kicked in the front door of a house in Cedar City and was shot multiple times by one of the homeowners.

Iron County Sheriff's officials say 24-year-old Christian Holbert was airlifted Tuesday to a St. George hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress.

They say the caller told them an unknown man had been shot multiple times after he wouldn't listen to the elderly homeowners' demands that he leave their property.

Deputies say Holbert was found near the house naked and wounded.

Sheriff's officials told the Spectrum that no charges are being filed against the homeowners at this time, but charges against Holbert could be forthcoming.
