Summer is here and today is the last day of the 2018 school year for students in the Clark County School District.
It’s probably a bittersweet moment for Pat Skorkowsky. He has been the superintendent of CCSD since 2013, and next month he will officially retire.
His job comes with the responsibility of managing the 330,000 students and 33,000 employees within the country’s fifth largest school district.
And on June 30, Skorkowsky will pass that baton over to Jesus Jara – who the board approved for the position in a 4-3 vote earlier this month.
